CEO of Prestige Network, Shohreh Fleming, gave an interview to South East England Development Agency's (SEEDA) HUB Magazine on the effective management of a rapidly growing business.
L to R: Prestige Network CEO Shohreh Fleming with SEEDA's David Pollard
SEEDA is funded by the Government to look at economical and social development in the South East. Its main aim is to support and mentor regional businesses to achieve maximum growth in their sector.
Prestige Network experienced a 40% increase in revenue in 2007, a remarkable leap for one financial year. And, as demand for their services increased, so too did the pressure on staff to fulfill the high level of requests they were receiving. SEEDA Mentor, David Pollard, met with Shohreh to discuss how best to manage the changes that inevitably occur when a business expands.
So as not to hinder the growth of the company, David suggested adapting leadership as well as strategic skills to cope with the increase in business demand. He recommended a Leadership Development Programme that would work with company directors to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the business.
Recruitment, middle management implementation and effective operations management were among the issues discussed in the feature.
